BULLDOG FISHING
Experience fishing the way it was meant to be at Bulldog Camps where pristine, untouched waters and unmatched access set the stage for something truly special. As the only camp on these waters, you'll enjoy a level of
privacy and tranquility that's nearly impossible to find, with calm mornings, glassy surfaces,
and the quiet that lets you fully settle into the moment.
Cast into the rich depths of Enchanted Pond for trophy trout, or step into what many consider Maine's best fly fishing - a must experience for anglers of any level. Whether you prefer the structure and local expertise of a guided trip or the independence of exploring on your own, Bulldog Camps offers both guided and non-guided fishing options to fit your style. With convenient boat rentals available, you'll have everything you
need to get out on the water and make the most of every cast.
This is more than fishing - it's access to something rare, peaceful, and deeply rewarding.
TROUT FISHING
Great Lake Fishing
Bulldog Camps offers fishing for everyone whether you are a first timer or an experienced fisherman, you are sure to catch fish when you come to Bulldog.
Enchanted Pond is 202 feet deep and offers good trout fishing from just after ice out to the end of September. Whether you like to troll lead core line or cast dry flies you will catch trout during your stay at Bulldog Camps.
Brook Trout
Though most of the brook trout caught here on Enchanted Pond are 8-12 inches, occasionally we do get fish in the 3-4 pound range.
FLY FISHING
Maine's Best Fly Fishing
We have several fly fishing only ponds in the area that offer some of the best fly fishing in Maine. Fully guided fly fishing trips to these remote ponds is a unique experience for even the avid fisherman. The late spring, early summer hatches can offer the fisherman a very rewarding day of fishing. The mountains surrounding Bulldog Camps are full of small streams and beaver bogs that are full of native brookies.
Boat Rentals
We rent 14' aluminum boats with 8-15 HP Yamaha out boards as well as canoes and kayaks. There is no boat launch here as we need to protect and preserve the natural quality of this pristine body of water.
