BULLDOG HUNTING
Tucked deep within exclusive wilderness, Bulldog Camps offers a hunting experience that goes far beyond the ordinary. Our vast wooded grounds provide a rare opportunity to pursue black bear, moose, deer, upland birds, and shed antlers in a setting defined by quiet, space, and true connection to the land. With carefully managed grounds and limited access, every hunt feels personal, intentional, and undisturbed. Whether you're looking for the confidence of a fully guided hunt or the freedom of a self-guided adventure, Bulldog Camps is built to meet you where you are. Our experienced guides bring deep knowledge of the terrain, animal patterns, and local conditions - while non-guided hunts allow seasoned hunters to explore at their own pace. From tracking big game to walking the woods for birds or antlers, this is hunting the way it was meant to be: immersive, rewarding, and rooted in tradition.
FALL BEAR HUNT
Maine offers some of the best black bear hunting opportunities in the country. With the state’s bear population at a record high and continuing to grow, hunters have an excellent chance to pursue the elusive Maine black bear. Whether you’re a first-time hunter hoping for a clean, ethical harvest or a seasoned veteran in search of a 500-pound bruiser, the Western Mountains of Maine have exactly what you’re looking for. It’s no surprise that many hunters return year after year, drawn back by the challenge, the scenery, and the unmatched bear hunting Maine has to offer.
MOOSE HUNT
Maine is home to the largest moose population in the United States, and Bulldog Camps is fortunate to be located in one of the state’s premier hunting areas. Wildlife Management District 8 offers 175 bull-only permits for the October season, making it one of the most sought-after moose hunting zones in Maine. Moose permit applications are due by May 14th. If you’re lucky enough to draw a permit in this zone, you can expect the hunt of a lifetime—set in rugged country with exceptional moose habitat and unforgettable experiences.
DEER HUNT
The Western Mountains of Maine consistently produce some of the largest whitetail bucks taken each year. Bulldog Camps’ remote location allows you the rare luxury of stepping out your cabin door and straight into prime deer hunting territory.
We offer both fully guided and unguided hunts. Hunters who choose a guided deer hunt benefit from pre-season scouting and strategically placed tree stands in proven, productive areas. For those opting for an unguided hunt, we’re happy to recommend quality areas to hunt—but once you’re in the woods, the experience is entirely your own for the week.
BIRD HUNT
Bulldog Camps offers some of the finest ruffed grouse hunting in Maine, with early-season hunts also producing strong numbers of woodcock. Early fall provides bird hunters the perfect opportunity to get into the woods while temperatures are mild and conditions are ideal.
The ruffed grouse remains the iconic game bird of Northern Maine. Thanks to the abundance of birds in the area, it’s an excellent destination for working bird dogs.

ANTLER HUNT
Maine has the highest concentration of moose in North America and Bulldog Camps is located in the heart of this vast Northern forest that allow moose to thrive. We offer fully guided and non-guided antler hunts during the month of May. Come up and join us on one of these incredible adventures and experience the reward of finding antlers from the Monarch of the Maine woods. A word of caution - it can become an addiction!
